1-Pound Combat Robot
This was such a fun project! As my intro to BattleBots, a teammate and I built a compact 1‑pound drum‑spinner robot that tried to balance dealing damage with staying alive in the arena.

I machined a high‑strength aluminum chassis, ran quick FEA and center‑of‑mass checks to keep it strong and stable, and helped design the “egg beater” weapon, which used about a third of the weight budget to maximize hit energy. We wrapped it with simple Bluetooth control and shock‑protected electronics, then iterated after test fights until it could take repeated hits and keep driving. The bot ended up taking 2nd place in the class competition — here’s a video of it kicking some butt!
